Vu Thuy Diem

Ms. Vu Thuy Diem is a seasoned legal and corporate governance executive with more than 20 years of experience advising multinational corporations, foreign-invested enterprises, and leading investment groups across the renewable energy, infrastructure, real estate, healthcare, and consumer sectors in Vietnam.

She currently serves as Legal Director & Company Secretary of Gulf Energy Vietnam and Legal Advisor to Shire Oak International, leading complex legal, governance, compliance, M&A, project development, and strategic investment matters. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles with Gulf Energy, Shire Oak International, VinaCapital, Hoiana, Amata Group, Japan Tobacco International (JTI), ParkCity Hanoi, Fresenius Kabi, and Prominent Consulting Singapore.

Recognized for her ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver commercially sound solutions, Ms. Diem has extensive experience in cross-border transactions, project financing, renewable energy development, large-scale real estate projects, corporate restructuring, government relations, and Board governance.

Ms. Diem holds an International Executive MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, a Bachelor of Laws from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, a Lawyer Training Certificate, and a Director Certificate from the Vietnam Institute of Directors (VIOD). She has also completed executive training in Corporate Affairs & Communications at the Corporate Affairs & Communication Academy, Geneva, Switzerland, as well as advanced programs in taxation and accounting for legal and business executives.

A native Vietnamese speaker with professional proficiency in English, Ms. Diem is valued for her strategic judgment, business-oriented legal counsel, and trusted leadership in supporting Boards, investors, and senior management through complex and high-value transactions.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoa

Dr Nguyen Thi Hoa has been a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh city University of law in Vietnam since September 2019, where she teaches and researches international business law, international commercial arbitration law, international commercial contract negotiation and drafting skill. In addition, since April 2022, she is also a reviewer for the Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction (indexed on Scopus – 1st quartile in 2020–2022) of the American Society of Civil Engineering. She is also currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Construction Law in Vietnam (SCLVN). Before becoming a lecturer, she worked as a legal adviser in the Department of Justice of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam (2010–August 20219) and her job involved advising on public–private partnership contracts, construction law, investment law, international dispute resolution, promotion of commercial arbitration, recognition and enforcement of decisions of foreign authorities, etc. In December 2018, she finished her PhD thesis with honours at Panthéon-Assas Paris II University in France on the topic of ‘Dispute resolution procedures in the international construction sector under FIDIC forms of contracts’. From September to December 2018, she worked as an intern in a construction law firm in Paris. From March 2023, she has been also invited to act as expert witness for the dispute brought to international arbitration tribunal.
