Nguyen Thanh Long

FIDIC Certified Trainer / Contract Manager

With over two decades of experience in Vietnam’s construction industry, Long Nguyen is a distinguished expert in cost and contract management. As Co-founder and Managing Director of VinaQS Company Limited, he has been instrumental in establishing the firm as a leading local Quantity Surveying consultancy, delivering international-standard services to both local and global clients. Long’s professional journey began in 2005 as the lead Quantity Surveyor at Davis Langdon & Seah Vietnam, where he advanced to Assistant Director by 2008. In 2012, he joined Turner & Townsend as a senior cost and project manager, overseeing projects for prominent international and demanding local clients. By 2014, he co-founded VinaQS, focusing on delivering Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services across diverse markets. His areas of expertise include cost planning, procurement analysis, contract advisory, dispute prevention, and mediation. Long is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Additionally, he is a FIDIC Certified Trainer, actively sharing his knowledge on FIDIC contracts through training sessions and seminars. Long’s commitment to the construction industry is further demonstrated by his active participation in professional organizations such as the Society of Construction Law Vietnam (SCLVN), where he contributes to advancing best practices in construction law and contract management.

Ms. Thảo was trained in law at HCMC University of Law and later completed an LL.M. in International Construction Contracts, awarded by Paris-Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II). She is a practising lawyer admitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and is among a small number of Vietnamese professionals who hold both the FIDIC Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) credential and the FIDIC Certified Trainer for the main contract suites by FIDIC Credentialing Limited. She currently serves as a Contracts Manager at one of Vietnam’s leading construction contractors. In addition to her professional role, she is a Member ò of Inspection Committee of the SCLVN. With strong expertise in construction law and contract management and hands-on experience across building, industrial and infrastructure projects funded through various capital sources, she has advised on tendering, contract administration, and dispute resolution for major projects in Vietnam. I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by profession. I am currently a freelance consultant and a practicing Dispute Board Member/ Adjudicator, Mediator and Arbitrator with about 35 years international experience in construction industry.
Academic qualifications in B Sc in Quantity Surveying, Diploma in Arbitration, followed a course in Adjudication and training as a Mediator.
I had been Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), United Kingdom and Associate member of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), United Kingdom. I served as the Country Representative of Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF), USA.
My experience includes about 15 years’ experience in international projects in Dubai, Oman, Qatar, Maldives and Seychelles. I currently serve as Dispute Board member/ Adjudicator, Arbitrator, Expert Witness in Sri Lanka in various projects. I serve as member of Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB) for a construction project in Punjab, India. In addition, I am actively engaged in various construction projects in contracts administration, dispute avoidance and resolution in the capacity of Arbitrator, adjudicator and as party representative/ consultant.
I actively participated in various international dispute resolution forums and seminars in Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Mr Le Cong Minh is a Director at Anvelo Singapore, specialising in delay and disruption analysis. He has been appointed as an expert witness in various arbitrations at VIAC and SIAC, as well as in dispute resolution proceedings before Dispute Boards. His experience spans major industrial, oil and gas, energy, telecommunication, and infrastructure projects in Vietnam and across the region.

Ms. Tran specializes in construction disputes, with a focus on performing delay analysis. Her portfolio includes large construction disputes across various industries, including transport infrastructure, real estate developments, process plants, and energy projects. Ms. Tran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Master’s degree in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Singapore.
As a Manager at Secretariat, Ms. Tran has been involved in various formal dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitrations under the ICC, SIAC and DIAC rules. Her work involves preparing and evaluating construction claims, reviewing programmes and as-built data, conducting critical path analysis, identifying causes of delay, and assisting experts in formal dispute resolution proceedings. She has worked on international construction disputes involving projects in the UAE, Qatar, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

He is FIDIC Certified Trainer on Fundamental Contracts and Silver Book (EPC/Turnkey), and Member of Writing Committee and Examination Committee, FIDIC Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) programme.

Trung has been enlisted to the Panels of Arbitrators in Brunei Darussalam (BDAC), China (BAC/BIAC), Malaysia (AIAC), Myanmar (MIAC), Japan (JACC), Thailand (THAC), and Vietnam (VIAC).
He has experience as Chair of Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB) in power projects, has been certified by FCL as FIDIC Certified Adjudicator, and listed on FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators.
