Arbitration is a dispute resolution mechanism commonly used in the construction industry in Vietnam and region, as it provides an efficient and effective means of resolving these disputes outside of the court system . As a developing country, Vietnam has seen a significant increase in construction activities, leading to an increase in construction disputes. The complexity of construction projects and the involvement of multiple parties often results in disputes arising from various issues

The Society of Construction Law – Viet Nam (SCLVN) and the International Law Faculty – Hochiminh city University of Law are pleased to announce the upcoming Hochiminh city International Construction Arbitration Conference 2023 (HICAC2023) to be held in Hochiminh city, Vietnam. This conference aims to bring together professionals from the construction industry, legal experts, arbitrators, and academics to discuss the latest trends, practices, and developments in construction arbitration. As Vietnam continues to experience significant growth in construction activities, this conference provides a timely platform for stakeholders to exchange knowledge and insights on the challenges and opportunities facing the construction arbitration landscape in Vietnam and beyond.
